We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our IT team in Chelmsford, Essex. With a rich 40-year history and a network of 25 stores nationwide, our company is a prominent figure in the UK electrical market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment and is keen to engage with our branch network of over 300 employees.

Day to Day of the role:- Handle and prioritise service requests and support issues using the helpdesk system.
- Monitor the IT environment using RMM software.
- Administer various enterprise security products to maintain a secure IT infrastructure.
- Assist with technical aspects related to regulatory requirements.
- Manage IT-related tasks for user onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain the company’s Microsoft 365 tenant to ensure optimal productivity.
- Install data cabling, access points, and CCTV systems.
- Build and support telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT project design and implementation.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to enhance IT software, networks, and systems.
- Create and revise IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient workflows.
- The ideal candidate will be a reliable and collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a genuine passion for IT. This role involves nationwide travel to support, improve, and manage our IT systems, and transportation will be provided by the company when required.
