As a vital member of the school's IT department, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of technology infrastructure throughout the school campus, and may be required at times to travel to other schools within the trust.
Job: IT Technician
Location: Bromley
Salary: £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience).
Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Provide frontline support to students and staff for all IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
Hardware Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance, repair, and replacement of computers, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Network Security: Help maintain a secure network environment by implementing and monitoring security protocols, including antivirus software and firewall configurations.
Software Management: Assist in the installation, configuration, and updating of software applications used by students and faculty members.
Data Management: Support data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical school information and ensure data integrity.
Necessary Qualifications and Skills:
- IT related degree
- Experience in IT support, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, macOS, and various software applications.
- Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
