WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
Do you want the chance to join us in a super role supporting a really great customer! You will be leading a team of HR Business Partners across 4 geographical locations and championing our IR and ER agendas
In this role you will act as a trusted advisor to the business and partner with members of the business management team to align HR activities to the business strategy. You will support business and customer goals and influence the strategic direction of the business balanced with the employee perspective. You will drive transformation and change of HR to maximise the capability of our people at all levels of the organization and to ensure HR services are delivered to drive business performance.
As part of your normal duties you will
- Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.
- Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes with unions at sites.
- Deploy the Business HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
- Provide HR support to start ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
- Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
- Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organization design, forecasting resourcing needs , agency and identifying future talent requirements.
- Account support on HR needs/issues and interventions - liaising with sites on continious improvement, projects and areas for potential business growth.
- Engagement with the customer closely to drive continuous improvement culture and best practice sharing to strengthen the relationship.
- Support the site HRBP's and Operation Directors to deliver the strategic and account plan.
- Support leaders and managers to develop people management capabilities
- Scan and understand the business' markets, environment and needs, share insight with other HR roles and recommend solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Coordinate with the Centers of Excellence to implement HR solutions that meet the distinctive business challenges and needs
- Work with HR Operations to use workforce data and apply analytical skills to formulate people insights and recommendations
- Following defined processes, provide people and workforce related advice, strategies, and solutions related to workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation and succession planning
- Liaise with the Employee Relations CoE to drive the IR/ER and engagement agenda across the area.
- Provide accurate and timely information and data to managers and employees on individual contracts, HR policies, processes, procedures etc.
- Support managers to manage data, ensure data quality and deliver HR processes along the HR life cycle (e.g. bonus and merit review, Talent Management, Development Reviews)
- Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.
- Provide analysis on various HR topics
- Cooperate with CoE departments, wider teams and Central HR Teams to ensure continuous improvement and standardisation
- Coach and develop the HRBP's and teams at site.
- Annual LEADS process and regular 121's with team members.
- Promote the DHL Core Values and act as a role model to the team and wider group.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

- Previous HR experience within a logistics business would be desirable
- Experience of dealing with Unions at a high level is ESSENTIAL
- A CIPD qualification or equivalent
- Ability to travel to all 4 sites detailed above
- Ability to provide project management support
- Previous business change experience - TUPE, redundancies, restructures, challenges
