ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are on the hunt for a Maths and Statistics Wizard to bolster our team, bringing a new depth of robust analysis to our projects. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving crucial business decisions, focusing on customer analysis, segmentation, and marketing effectiveness. Ideal candidates are self-driven, relishing the pursuit of long-term strategic objectives over short-term or ad-hoc tasks. You should be comfortable engaging with various business units, demonstrating initiative, and adept at planning and managing your schedule autonomously.
This role will be based in our Leeds office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and actively participate in the development of advanced analytics, focusing on two core areas: Customer Marketing/CRM and Marketing Science/Effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with different business segments to identify their priorities and requirements.
- Deliver insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to inform business strategies.
- Create and present comprehensive reports and data visualizations to effectively communicate findings across the business.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing evolution of data utilization, maximizing its impact and benefits within the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient in causal analysis techniques with a strong background in statistics.
- Foundational understanding of data science principles and techniques such as clustering / k-means, causal analysis, and other related principles.
- Proficient in use of programming languages such as Python and R
- Proficient in producing meaningful results and communicating effectively to non-technical colleagues.
- Understanding of digital marketing and keen to explore econometrics or Marketing Mix Modelling.
Essential:
- Experience: Experience in ecommerce data analytics roles
- Skills: Technical proficiency in Python / R and demonstrable previous work or knowledge in these areas
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
Desirable:
- Previous MMM or Econometrics experience
- Highly numerate with excellent understanding of statistics
- Previous experience in marketing science/analytics
- Strong understanding of customer and Marketing Data
