Randstad is seeking motivated Early Years professionals who are in search of their ideal role. Our team of consultants is dedicated to securing roles that align perfectly with your preferences and skills.
Our client operates several nursery settings in and around Leeds. They're seeking an enthusiastic nursery assistant with prior experience and a strong desire to develop their skills. With well-equipped rooms catering to children aged 3 months to 5 years, you'll have access to a range of resources and activities to support the children in your care.

Responsibilities after induction will involve:
- Planning age-appropriate activities to support the specific development of key children
- Establishing strong relationships with parents and carers while taking on key children responsibilities
- Conducting observations during EYFS curriculum-based activities to track progression and achievements
- Maintaining accurate records of children's progression over time through frequent observations
- Assisting with children's hygiene routines and meal times
- Contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment, prioritising health and safety at all times
- Safeguarding children and reporting welfare concerns to management
- Keeping records of daily diary sheets for children and conducting end-of-day handover procedures with parents
- Supporting the training and development of other staff members in the room
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
- Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 is essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and professional demeanour
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Dedication to children's development with an energetic, can-do attitude
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
Desired (but not essential):
- Safeguarding training
- Paediatric first aid training
- Food and hygiene training
- Health and safety training
