SalaryDo you have experience in supporting children with additional needs? Are you seeking your next role within education? Empowering Learning are delighted to be supporting a school in the DE21 area who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a Full Time basis.
The role is Full Time and the contract will begin as soon as possible. The role will begin September 2024 and will be on a Full Time basis
The hours of work will be 08:30 - 16:00.
The school are looking for someone who:
- Holds at least one years experience working in a school environment
- Possesses previous experience of supporting SEN children
- Can easily build relationships with children who struggle to engage in class
- Has a TA qualification or a relevant degree
- Will work effectively as a team player
- Has a sound understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum's
The main duties within the role will be:
- Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who present with a range of needs
- Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around progress of the children
- Following the targets set on children's educational health care plans
- Supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom
