Management Accountant - Exciting Organisation

A well established organisation based in Borehamwood are seeking a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team on a permanent basis. This role will be varied and will involve business partnering.

Working in modern spacious offices, the day to day tasks include:

- Preparing the management accounts for 3 entities

- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasts

- Analysing trends and assessing risk and opportunities

- Month end journals, accruals and prepayments

- Preparation of VAT

- Working on the commercial finance for the business.

To be successful in this role you will have :

- Previous management accounts experience

- Confident to speak to stakeholders and a tenacious nature

- ACCA/CIMA finalist or qualified

Main duties: • Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L reports, balance sheets, board reports and cash flow forecasts • Preparation of financial information such as trend analysis, spend analysis reports and graphical representation of items within the financial statements • Assist the Finance Manager and Finance Director in producing the monthly and annual financial reporting requirements • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis, investigating unusual reconciling items and highlighting opportunities/risks • Preparation of month-end journals such as prepayments, accruals and depreciation • Preparation of VAT and overseas sales tax submissions • Weekly sales reconciliations • Stock reconciliations • Make recommendations to improve internal processes and efficiencies within the team What you'll need to succeed • ACCA/CIMA studier or QBE • Previous experience of working in a management accounting role • Possess a hardworking and 'cando' attitude • High attention to detail and able to co-ordinate substantial amounts of information • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build and maintain effective relationships with non-finance stakeholders • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and good working knowledge of accounting software (NetSuite highly advantageous) What you'll get in return In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualification) and the opportunity to work for a fantastic organisation who are on an incredible growth journey.
