Location: Blackburn, Lancashire
Hybrid working: 2/3 days in the office
Salary: up to £38,000 plus study support
Job Description:
- Prepare and present management accounts
- Prepare monthly balance Sheet reconciliations in accordance with agreed Group accounting policies.
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
- Liaise with key budget holders to have a better understanding of expected costs.
- Liaise with the commercial team to understand new deals
- Adopt a proactive approach to the role to add value to the business.
- Liaise with external auditors, providing any information required.
- Ad-hoc analysis and investigative work
Key Skills/Experience:
- Part- Qualified Accountant with current technical knowledge or strong academic background
- Good understanding of management accounts and balance sheets
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a management accounting function
- Strong accounting acumen
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience of Access Dimensions would be advantageous.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A team player
- A strong continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes
