Job description

i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are currently recruiting for a Part-Time UK-based Marketing Operations Manager to start immediately. You will be joining a small team that supports our business worldwide in which your role will be key to helping us deliver against our events program and wider marketing initiatives. In addition to supporting the wider business with the implementation of new processes to help control our OPEX spend.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be to support the marketing team in their efforts to deliver against the overall marketing objectives. In addition, you will support the wider business and in particular, the Executive Leadership Team as required.
  • Management of overall event program to ensure that every event is being actioned and the wider sales team in territory are supported.
  • Hands on management of some of the events, working directly with the lead sales person in territory, or the delivery team for larger events.
  • Overall budget reporting against our forecast, ensuring we are spending accurately, involving your line manager as required.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting as requested.
  • Support for the wider team, including the Executive leadership team.
  • Show initiative to identify other areas within the business where you can assist and add value.
  • Identify ways of implementing OPEX savings without imposing too much structure on the business.
What we are looking for
You will need to bring your infectious enthusiasm for the role, be an articulate self-starter who brings their own ideas and, being remote, must be able to work independently. You will also (be):
  • Experienced in organising and delivering a variety of different events, from customer focused small meetings to larger exhibitions.
  • An accomplished project manager, used to delivering on time and within budget.
  • Used to supporting a wider team with the administration of various activities such as meeting venues, travel and hotel bookings.
  • Have knowledge of implementing new processes to support the management of various expenses.
  • Show the right attitude and aptitude to succeed in a fast-paced business and be flexible to respond to short deadlines.
  • A highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about delivering against timelines.
  • Have a passion for and a willingness to learn.
  • Be flexible in your working hours to sometimes accommodate support for overseas colleagues.
  • A team player willing to go above and beyond when required.
  • Customer and results focused, with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and have a positive approach to change.
  • Willingness to travel from time to time in support of the event program.
Qualifications and skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication with good people skills; comfortable with engaging with people at all levels from across the company and our partners worldwide.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and pro-active.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload accordingly.
  • An interest in technology and/or software.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office / SharePoint.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all communications internally and externally.
Desirable:
  • Experience in marketing and administration.
  • Project management skills
Terms
  • Hours –This is a part-time position, initially for 3 days a week.
  • Remote – This role is remote, and we will consider anyone from across the UK. However, proximity to either Manchester or Cambridgeshire would be advantageous.
  • Ability to travel to meetings from time to time is required with the very occasional overnight stay.
