Medical Receptionist/Secretary

The award winning Blue Tree Clinic private mental health clinic is looking for the right caring and enthusiastic person with (ideally medical) or advanced receptionist experience for a May/June 2024 start in North West London - South Hampstead.

Saturday's on reception is mandatory most weekends. Experienced in using “Semble medical software” would be highly beneficial and someone local to the office. Ability to do audio typing / dictation is also a requirement.

We are looking for someone motivated, capable, cheerful, kind and a team player, able to take the initiative in a busy work environment.

Initially needed a total of 3 days a week to include Saturdays on reception. If the job proceeds well after a trial 6 months, the amount of days can be looked at to be increased if required.

Salary will be pro rata based on a 5 day week.

Perfect for someone wanting a long term, part time job.

Responsibilities:

• Taking appointment requests over the phone or via email and triaging as appropriate. Helping patients with requests for information and advising them as appropriate. Handling calls from GPs and other services and passing information on as necessary.
• Receiving patients into reception and directing them to the correct clinician.
• Taking responsibility for the upkeep of the reception and the surgery as a whole.
• Opening the clinic in the morning and closing down in the evening.
• Helping with admin tasks, including scanning, filing, handling email requests, and opening post.

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience in a public-facing role, ideally involving receptionist and administration duties.
• Must be educated to minimum A-level or BTEC standard, and ideally to degree level.
• Must be comfortable in a high-pressure environment and able to multitask to a high standard.
• Must have extremely strong people skills and be highly motivated to help others. Must be willing and able to help patients when they are anxious or distressed. Interest in mental health ideal.
• Initially up to 3 days a week, one of those days being a Saturday which is essential. Also increased flexibility for increased hours to cover when other admin staff take leave.
