Introduction: We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Nursing Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of My Clients Nursing Home facility. As the Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to our residents. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving the lives of elderly individuals in a residential care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership and management of the Nursing Home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures. Lead by example, fostering a positive and supportive work environment for staff members.
Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing and care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies to deliver excellent care to residents. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to staff members.
Resident Care: Oversee the delivery of personalized care plans to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families to develop and review care plans, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of care within the Nursing Home, conducting regular audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Implement action plans to address any issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
Health and Safety: Ensure the Nursing Home provides a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors by adhering to health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and risk management procedures. Implement measures to minimize hazards and prevent accidents/incidents.
Budget Management: Manage the Nursing Home's budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support the delivery of quality care. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on care standards.
Communication: Foster open and effective communication channels within the Nursing Home, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and information sharing among staff members, residents, and families. Keep stakeholders informed of developments, challenges, and successes.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancement, staying abreast of industry best practices, trends, and developments in elderly care. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and overall resident experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse qualification (RN) with current registration/license is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the healthcare or social care sector, preferably in a Nursing Home setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to Nursing Homes.
- A relevant management qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5, Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for elderly individuals.
- Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
