YOUR ROLE
Our Ocean operation based in Ashby de la Zouch have an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and meticulous Ocean Operations Coordinator where will guarantee customer export requirements are met whilst maintaining operational and customer service excellence.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Ocean Export Supervisor, you will execute all ocean export shipments efficiently whilst adhering to company quality and compliance requirements, your main areas of focus will be:
- Act as the key point of contact for internal and external customer service teams.
- Receive, manage, and monitor shipment bookings, registrations, and process customer orders.
- Create and verify transport with intermodals teams to ensure pickup and delivery of customer orders.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and to a high standard.
- Utilise management systems to check shipment statuses.
- Identifying and resolving incidents immediately to ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience.
In addition to day-to-day activities, you may be required to actively participate in projects to meet operational and customer service excellence.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience within ocean exports with some knowledge and understanding of customs processes and already be operating within a fast-paced ocean or multimodal operation.
You will be a strong communicator with the ability to form relationships internally and externally, possess excellent customer service skills, a natural problem solver and logical thinker who can prioritise their own workload with accuracy and efficiency.
This role will see you working a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday at our newly implemented Ocean operation in Ashby de la Zouch. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing ocean freight team who provide an outstanding service to customers.
