Working alongside the current Operations Manager (Procurement & Contracts) you will help us develop sector-leading educational resources through our supply chain. We are a mission-led organisation that exists to improve pupil outcomes and close the disadvantage gap by raising the quality of the curriculum that teachers and pupils access.

This is a temporary part-time role (up to 0.8 full time equivalent, Fixed Term for 12 months - open to a discussion on less hours for the right candidate).
You will:
- Lead the continuous improvement of multiple procurement and contract management processes/systems.
- Manage and maintain the Oak supply chain (7-figure budget) and all external contracts (approximately 200).
- Develop tender specifications to engage high quality suppliers, negotiating and implementing contracts.
- As a member of the Oak Team, contribute to the planning and culture of the organisation.
- Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.
- Deputise for Head of Operations and take on other general responsibilities as required .
You should have:
- 5+ years experience in leading the continuous improvement for procurement and contract management processes and systems.
- Extensive knowledge of public sector procurement (service delivery) including holding or working towards a Chartered Institute for Procurement & Supply /International Association for Contract & Commercial Management/World Contracting & Commerce qualification.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess quantitative and qualitative feedback and make recommendations for action.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with a track record in developing relationships and building rapport with a wide range of people.
Although not essential, experience in brokering and managing third-party copyright would be highly desirable.
