Responsibilities
• Word processing, copy typing, and patient letters• Maintaining filing systems• Dealing with telephone queries• Allocating and booking patient appointments• Registering and handling patient referrals• Preparing daily clinics• Despatching appliances to Orthotic Contractor• Typing up patient notes• Ordering and booking patient appliances• Arranging patient appliance collections/repairs• Acting as a chaperone in clinic• Providing information to Orthotist• Organizing work tasks and prioritizing• Ensuring confidentiality and following policies• Completing mandatory training
Requirements
• Motivated and enthusiastic individual• Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills• Basic keyboard skills• Maintain calm and diplomatic when dealing with callers• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines• Attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to work well in a team• Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel• Knowledge of patient management systems
