About the role
The Payment Manager leads the Payments function and works closely with the wider organisation to ensure that all payments made are fully and correctly recorded on a timely basis, comply with the internal and external regulations, and reconcile to the books of account.
About you
You are a part-qualified accountant with strong team management skills, excellent communication and analytical skills, and tracked experience of working with SUN system and in multi-currency environment.
Lead and manage the Payment function covering all payments and grants made from the organisation.
Ensure payments are made in accordance with client policies
Ensure procedures are followed in accordance with legal and statutory requirements
Provide guidance to all staff on the use of payment related systems and processes
Experience requested:
SUN Systems (with Q&A) and Accounts Payable function
Experience of bank and general ledger account reconciliations
Team Management
Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
Experience and knowledge of Gift Aid
Excellent communication skills
Experience of working in multiple currencies
