We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator to join us at our Sainsbury’s site in Sherburn in Elmet. This is our recent new business win so exciting time to join! Here you will be responsible for the accurate processing of employees’ pay data into the HR systems, to enable accurate payroll processing and maintenance of accurate electronic people data.
This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, but we may be able to offer some flexibility around start and end times.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for all payroll data and ensuring reports are routinely and proactively checked, with any errors being resolved in a timely manner
- Update employee payroll records to include P45s, new starter declarations, tax and NIC data
- Respond to general queries from the staff regarding their pay
- Provide support to any ad hock administration activities
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in a fast-paced payroll environment, with experience of T&A systems
- An ability to perform well under pressure and meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- A collaborative and friendly approach, supported by excellent communication skills
- Flexible approach to work – to get involved in varied tasks across HR & Payroll
