As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. This is a key role within our organization, requiring strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on time
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy, inputting them into the payroll system
- Calculate and process allowances and deductions, including taxes, pensions, sick leave, holidays, maternity/paternity leave and other benefits
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients
- Ensure compliance with payroll and pensions regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including P60's, P11D's and final submissions
- Respond to client queries regarding payroll matters
- Posting payroll journals and reconciling liabilities related to payroll/pensions.
This role will involve basic bookkeeping in addition to payroll processing.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Bookkeeping experience is preferable.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices, including auto-enrolment
- Proficient in using payroll software and systems, preferably Brightpay
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze complex payroll data and resolve discrepancies
