Payroll Manager (3 Days Per Week)

Our client, a successful, established and growing Accountancy Practice based in Lisburn, has an urgent requirement for an experienced Part Time Payroll Manager.

This is a part time, permanent time position with an opportunity to build a long term career with a growing, modern and dynamic Practice.

You will assist in processing payrolls, liaising with clients and HM Revenue and Customs on any queries, as directed by the wider Payroll Team. You will also assist with the administration of monthly payments to HM Revenue and Customs and preparation and submission of employers’ annual return forms.

DAYS

The role will be for three days (office based) per week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)

KEY DUTIES

• Ensure the accurate input of Clients payroll data onto current payroll software, across both United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients through ensuring that all data is accurate and that queries are progressed both accurately and efficiently as directed by Management
• Complete assignments within agreed timescales e.g. adhere to monthly payroll deadlines
• Ensure that the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times, including all administration
• Involved in PAYE Dispensations, PAYE Settlement Agreements and any other Payroll related matters

THE PERSON

• 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 previous experience within a payroll environment
• Working knowledge of IT based payroll systems including Sage
• Working knowledge of Payroll legislation and procedures within both the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland ideal
• Intermediate/ Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and e-mail
• Good level of verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated through contributing to communications with Management, clients, etc both in person and via telephone and e-mail

SALARY

A highly attractive hourly rate based on experience within the region of £15-£16 per hour will be on offer to the successful candidate.
