People Advisor
Salary: £30,000-£35,000

As part of a new HR structure, they now have an opportunity for a second People Advisor who will report directly in to the HR Business Partner and play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive HR support to both the retail and head office business areas. This is a varied role that requires a versatile generalist who can handle employee relations, support learning and development initiatives, and enhance managerial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage employee relations cases with efficiency and sensitivity, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
- Support learning and development initiatives by identifying training needs, coordinating training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Provide hands-on support to managers, helping to enhance their leadership skills and build their capacity to drive business success.
- Line manage the HR Assistant and HR Apprentice, providing mentorship and guidance to support their professional development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to drive HR initiatives and support strategic objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a fast paced HR role, with a focus on employee relations and generalist HR functions.
- Strong case management skills, with the ability to handle HR issues with tact and professionalism.
- Commercially minded with a solid understanding of business operations and priorities.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritisation skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
- Previous experience in line management and mentoring is desirable.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
