The People Services Administrator will embrace and positively contribute to the working environment and culture of continuous improvement and people centricity within the immediate team and wider people function. They will work with and be supportive to colleagues to always do their best work and achieve team goals. They will always present themselves and represent the People Function professionally. Their main responsibility will be to provide high quality, accurate, timely transactional administration services within agreed timescales for all customers of People Services. The post holder will specifically: Take ownership of delegated tasks, ensuring that they understand the needs of the customer and what is required to fulfil this need. Take pride in completing all tasks to the highest quality within the agreed/expected timescales. Communicate professional and effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring where necessary that they remain informed of progress and/or any appropriate information. Work efficiently and effectively, optimising their time and the use of the people systems Must be able to work on own initiative to complete delegated tasks and respond to customer enquiries. Must uphold confidentiality when handling personal and sensitive data at all times and adhere to the policies and legal requirements relating to data, data protection and security and information governance. Be required to make best efforts to prioritise own workload and the requests received, considering the respective deadlines and to escalate to the Team Leader where this is not possible. Keep the Team Leader appraised of anything impacting you, your environment, your work, or anything which may cause/result in any delay. Escalate any issues or concerns to the People Services Team Leader or Senior Programme Manager in a timely manner. Ensure standard operating procedures and governance frameworks are followed and adhered to in order to ensure consistency of approach and service delivery. This will enable colleagues to deal with follow-on queries or the continuation of cases simply and seamlessly. The role holder must also uphold and champion the governance of change controls and all related policies The post holder will also fulfil required and requested maintenance of all/any HR system and its content and act as point of escalation to external supplier for issue resolution where it cannot be provided locally. Where improvement opportunities are identified proactively raise these through appropriate channels. Engage and actively participate in improvement initiatives, and feed in any/all ideas and recommendations that are identified (removal of unnecessary steps, take advantage of synergies across systems, automation opportunities etc..).
