Are you inquisitive and creative and interested in understanding issues affecting healthcare in the UK and working to solve them with data? Are passionate about exploring the big questions the NHS and health sector are asking? We are recruiting a Policy and Data Analyst.
As a Policy and Data Analyst in the NHS Confederation’s strategic policy team, you will:
- Assist colleagues with key statistics and analyse data, presenting it for internal and external audiences.
- Use knowledge of key NHS datasets to provide rapid analysis of emerging data to support media responses, develop compelling narratives and monitor trends.
- Work with experts in the policy team to triangulate qualitative feedback with quantitative data, supporting reports and other outputs with evidence.
- Work on long term ‘deep dive’ projects including exploring issues facing the NHS and developing external-facing products.
- Develop relationships with counterparts in key external stakeholder organisations, discussing different interpretations of data, analysis and modelling.
About you
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have strong problem-solving abilities, a willingness to learn and experience with using data to identify patterns and trends to generate insights.
- Are passionate about exploring the big questions the NHS and health sector are asking, for instance how the service can improve its productivity, improve patient flow and bring down waiting lists.
- Are able to grasp complex issues quickly and to interpret and present your findings rapidly, for a variety of audiences, using data visualisation techniques.
- Have excellent communication skills, a willingness to develop your personal networks , and are able to manage competing priorities.
