How you’ll help make a difference

 

Being the Population Health Intelligence & Evidence Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Consultants in Public Health in providing expert public health advice to the Integrated Care System including the Clinical Programme Approach and One Place, One Budget, One System.

 

 

About You

 

To be successful you will need experience of: partnership working; identifying, interpreting, synthesising and reporting evidence developing, implementing and managing programmes and projects; as well as evaluation skills.

 

Examples of projects this post might include are:

 

  • Undertaking an evidence review of prevention approaches in healthy ageing.
  • Interpretation and communication of intelligence within health needs assessments.
  • Support to system groups to understand inequalities and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Support the development of JSNA products through working with topic experts.
  • Develop an evaluation framework for falls prevention and high blood pressure identification.

The Public Health and Communities Hub support the Council’s Agile working policy and expect team members to work a minimum of two days per week in the office, which is based in Gloucester, and to attend ‘in person’ meetings as and when required. New starters will be required to come into the office more often in their first 3 weeks for induction.

This position is not remote; therefore, candidates must reside in the UK and be able to work from the office based in central Gloucester.
