Principal Temporary Works Engineer Contract- Remote

With our client experiencing rapid growth, we are actively searching for a Principal Temporary Works Engineer to join their team. This position presents an exciting chance to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to groundbreaking projects within the gas plant design realm.

As a Principal Engineer, you will be a vital member of engineering and design team. Your primary responsibilities will involve supervising and conducting civil and structural engineering designs across a range of projects and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the principal in the preparation of design documentation as requested by Lead Engineers.
• Supervise, prepare, check, and approve design work in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure that engineering activities are executed within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity.
• Ensure work complies with relevant codes, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain and enhance current awareness of applicable codes and standards.
• Implement company and client/project policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on legislative requirements.
• Conduct short-term visits to sites and offices in the UK and overseas as needed for project and proposal support.
• Ensure adherence to legal and organizational responsibilities regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental issues.

Knowledge and Skills:

• A degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Civil and/or Structural Engineer with substantial experience in Temporary Works Engineering, Design, and Construction.
• Experience across multiple sectors in construction such as Roads, Railways, Water, Nuclear, and/or Industrial Process projects.
