Production Technician
This is a great opportunity for an experienced production, assembly or manufacturing technician to join a growing engineering company that specialise in laser based systems located just north of Oxford.
The Production Technician will be working on the companies next-generation of laser systems, which are commonly used for security and tracibility applications. You will be working in a small team where you will assemble, test and inspect the systems, which will include mechanical, software, electronic and optical elements.
This is likely to be a varied role and you will need to interact frequently with the systems and R&D teams to assist in development work. The Production Technician will also need to be able to read work instructions and drawings and be able to identify faulty components and non-confirming materials.
Production Technician Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years hands-on production/manufacturing experience
• Electro-mechanical assembly and testing
• A really strong understanding of mechanics
• A good problem solver and IT literate (computer set-up, config etc)
• A formal education to BTEC/HNC(D) level within engineering
• Any experience working on laser or optical systems is a big advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Driven and reliable
