Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, the Project Accountant will be responsible for:
- Accounting for all scheme developments in order to accurately reflect the financial position of each development
- Providing accurate information for development costs used for profit calculations, budgets and forecasts
- Liaising with Project Managers and stakeholders regarding all aspects of accounting and costing on each development
- Producing up to date scheme reconciliations in order to deliver management accounts, budgets and forecasts relating to scheme accounts, and providing financial information to inform business decisions
The Successful Applicant
The successful Project Accountant will be a part qualified accountant coming towards the end of their studies, or have a strong background in a similar role.
You will ideally have previous exposure working in a Development Accountant/Construction Accountant/Project Accountant role where you have dealt with large scale projects. A background within housing, construction or infrastructure would be preferred.
Previous demonstrable exposure of dealing with non-finance budget holders is essential, along with a confident user of Excel.
A knowledge or MS Dynamics would be beneficial, but is not essential.
This is a Hybrid position and will be based in the office on average 2 days a week, but flexibility would be needed during busy periods.
