The role


The Public Health Division is recruiting x2 Public Health Intelligence Analyst posts to support our ambitious work on Knowledge & Intelligence.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful, established and well-resourced team delivering on some of the most exciting cutting edge Public Health interventions in a world class city. Delivering on your responsibilities will require working in a fast paced and challenging environment, being held to account for delivery, a strong commitment to tackling health inequalities and a high degree of personal resilience.

We are looking for an individual with excellent Public Health skills and experience, keen to develop their career in Public Health Intelligence.

You will be an integral part of the Public Health Knowledge & Intelligence function, working alongside fellow colleagues to deliver high quality work that aims to increase our understanding of health inequalities. You will support and often lead on core pieces of work, including the delivery of major Public Health reports, whilst also reporting on commissioned services across our Public Health programme areas.

Your programme areas will include data and analytics, improving the monitoring of health outcomes and inequalities, along with service and programme evaluation. Although you will be based within the Public Health Division, you will need to liaise with council and local NHS colleagues to help deliver upon overlapping health & wellbeing priorities.

About you:

You must possess expert core Public Health competencies including epidemiology, needs assessment, evaluation, using evidence to inform decision making, and strong partnership skills. Excellent communication including presentation and high standards of written skills will be essential. You will have experience of using basic analytical applications such as MS Excel, whilst also evidencing use more advanced applications such as PowerBI, R, and Stata.
