Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our dedicated Accounts department. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our sites by providing essential administrative support. This is a permanent part-time role, with hybrid working options available after the probation period. Requirements Accurately process purchase invoices, resolving any approval issues promptly. Manage supplier accounts, including setup, maintenance, and monthly reconciliation of statements. Handle credit card statements and employee expenses efficiently. Prepare for weekly payment runs and assist in quarterly accruals. Maintain and update spreadsheets for invoice processing. Take ownership of a portion of the Creditors Ledger, ensuring it remains up-to-date and well organized. Utilize Aged Creditors reports during month-end procedures to verify account balances. Address supplier queries via phone and email, redirecting non-accounts payable inquiries as necessary. Support the wider accounts function with ad-hoc duties and collaborate effectively within the Accounts Payable Team. Key Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential. Strong numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and able to use initiative to resolve issues independently. Pleasant telephone manner and a friendly disposition.
