Based in the heart of Tyrone my client is a market leading Quarry Machinery manufacturer who make products for the global market. Due to an internal promotion the role of R&D Manager has now become available. My client is looking for an individual who has extensive R&D experience within the Quarry Machinery sector. AsR&Dmanager you will be responsible fordeliveringtheR&Dstrategyforthecompany. Youwillworkcloselywiththe Headof Engineering,Sales andend users identifying key areasofproduct development and manage a small team of engineers. Role – R&D Manager

·Carry out and implementprototype testingonsite andin factorytoensure successful completion.

·Projectplanningfornewproducts / productimprovementsfromconceptualstagethroughtofirstproduction.

·DevelopProductDesignSpecificationsandensureregularreviewstomakesurealltargetsaremetor surpassed.

·Responsiblefordesign,verifyandreleaseofnewdesignsincluding3DCADmodels&drawings,hydraulic systems,andelectrical systems.

·Carryout critical stress analysisusing both theoreticaland Computer aided(FEA)methods.

·People Managementand development- Responsible fortrainingand developmentofexisting team.Mentor juniorteam members.

·Performcostfeasibility analysis, risk analysisandbenchmarkingto competitors.

·Have a good understandingofcompetitors’products and identifygapsin the market.

·Be forwardthinking, identifying new trends and technology that could be utilized within theaggregates industry.

·ThesuccessfulapplicantwillbeeducatedtoanHonors(BScorBEng)degreelevelinMechanicalEngineeringorequivalentwith8yearsplusexperienceworkinginNewProductDevelopmentwithintheaggregatesindustry,ideally Crushing andScreening.
