Job description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Receptionist for our reputable client based in Nottingham.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver a positive customer service experience. You will meet and greet visitors face to face as well as dealing with all aspects of enquiries and call handling.

To be considered for the Receptionist role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Business administration or similar
  • Experience of working within an educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Ideally hold or be willing to undergo First Aid at work that is approved by HSE
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Works well under pressure

Reporting to the Office Manager, you’ll be working in a busy environment therefore must be able to multitask and show strong communication and interpersonal skills. Within this role you will also be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and other relevant checks. Having experience of SIMS computer system would also be advantageous.

Reporting to the Office Manager, you’ll be:

  • Meeting & greeting visitors to the site
  • Answering all calls with a professional manner
  • Processing relevant safeguarding checks
  • Handling incoming complaints and dealing with these accordingly
  • Assisting in maintaining student records
  • Assisting in the annual archive process
  • Preparing post for posting & franking of letters where necessary
  • Photocopying, filing, faxing, scanning & printing of documents
  • Completing standard forms
  • Managing lost property
  • Adminstrating the debt management of student lunch accounts
  • Assisting with the uptake on free school meals
  • Checking eligibility for free school meals
  • Carrying out any other ad hoc duties as required

Salary & Working Hours

  • £23,500 – £24,293 per annum (pro rata) dependant on experience
  • Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
