The job itself

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, and suitably experienced Receptionist (37hrs per week, term time only plus 5 additional days) to join our busy, friendly administration team at Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College.

The work pattern for this post is 07:50 – 16:00 (Monday to Thursday) and 07:50 -15:30 (Friday), with a 40 minute daily lunchbreak.

The Receptionist is responsible for the smooth running of the main reception area and is the first point of contact for enquiries, while operating a reception service that promotes the professional image of the Academy. In addition, the Receptionist will act as an Administrative Assistant, providing support for a range of office functions.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level (Grade D or above / 4 or above in both English and maths), be IT literate, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will also have an understanding of safeguarding procedures and be able to establish good professional relationships.
