An opportunity has arisen for Regulatory Compliance Team Leader, location will be agreed with the successful candidate, although some travel to Bristol or Castle Donington should be anticipated.
This role reports to the Regulatory Compliance Manager and will play a key part in managing the Regulatory Compliance team, ensuring all regulatory submissions are filed on time, monitoring licence compliance and ensuring the business is aware of changes to Regulatory requirements.
As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.

Main Responsibilities
Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Manager to support delivery of all Regulatory Compliance Team accountabilities
Manage the other members of the Regulatory Team on behalf of the Regulatory Compliance Manager
Represent NGED in industry meetings, including Ofgem led and ENA co-ordinated working groups, and contribute towards collaborative work on policy changes, licence drafting and guidance documents (including development of RIGS and associated documents)
Manage the Regulatory reporting programme including processes for regulatory incentive mechanisms such as Time to Connect, Broad Measure of Customer Satisfaction and Major Connections
Develop improvements to the report collation process and data assurance activities
Manage performance reporting for Guaranteed Standards of Performance, Time to Quote and Time to Connect, including improvements to the dashboards and disseminating learning for field teams from data cleansing activities
Support and coordinate teams who input into regulatory reports
Identify areas for improvement in the regulatory reporting process and other systems put in place to support Regulatory Compliance team objectives
Monitor & share relevant information from Ofgem/DESNZ/Gov etc
Investigate Step 3 complaints and create Deadlock letters for customers
Collate information and prepare case files for the Energy Ombudsman
Support consultation leads
Liaise with the Energy Ombudsman to support their understanding of the electricity distribution industry, share learning from investigations and build a positive working relationship
Provide daily/weekly updates to Regulatory Compliance Manager on agreed reporting points
The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have significant experience in Regulatory Compliance and knowledge of RIIO ED2, the reopener process, the Code of Conduct process, or a proven track record that shows the ability to quickly pick up the knowledge and apply as required and have the ability to review and develop to high standard requisite policy documents, reports and system processes. Excellent attention detail is required.
The role requires you to be able to keep people on track with their designated actions, develop and motivate team members and provide feedback on their performance.
