Research Assistant In Data Management (Infection & Sexual Health)

About the role The Research Assistant in Data Management (Infection and Sexual Health) will be responsible for a range of Data Management tasks, acting as a key point of contact for study teams and external partners in designing data collection tools, managing data queries, and uploading and cleaning data. The post holder will work closely with the principal investigators and other members of the research team, as well as with those working with data in partner organisations. Previous experience in research database management would be an advantage. This is 100% an on-site position, and the post holder will be based at the Mortimer Market Centre on the Bloomsbury Campus. This post is available immediately for 12 months in the first instance, renewable subject to continued funding. An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role. Salary range: £37,332 to £39,980 per annum (including London Allowance), depending on experience. About you The candidate must have excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic, while also being able to work on their own initiative. Experience in electronic Data Management and curation Meticulous and organised approach to work with a high standard of accuracy Understanding of information governance, privacy, and security issues regarding the management of datasets Understanding of the principles and practice of medical research Excellent IT skills and experience in the advanced use of Microsoft applications such as Excel and Access and a willingness to learn new database packages. Preferably experience with at least one statistical analysis package, such as STATA, R, or SPSS.
