Job Title: Reward Specialist
Duration: 6 months, extensions likely
Location: Remote/ once per month requirement in the Warwick office
Salary: £400-£450 per day via Umbrella
My client who is the largest investor-owned gas company and renowned for their unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence is looking for a Reward Specialist to join their team on a 6-months contract basis with twice per week requirement in the Warwick office
Role Overview:
To provide business-as-usual Reward services, including compensation and benefits annual cycle planning and delivery, job evaluation and benchmarking, policy and process improvement activities and ad hoc project work.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the ongoing design, implementation and improvement of employee compensation and benefits programmes and key policy areas.
- Manage the delivery of specific compensation and benefits activities, either through the People Services or 3rd party providers. (e.g. maximising the effectiveness of the overall query management for the Reward processes; implementation of the annual pay and bonus cycles, flexible benefits annual enrolment and total reward statements; and employee recognition scheme).
- Work with People Partners to provide job evaluation services for the business.
- Externally benchmark, via periodic or ad hoc surveys or research, to maximise awareness and knowledge of market practice in all areas of compensation and benefits to support business decision making.
- Conduct analysis and produce key statistical information and metrics required for business-as-usual and project activity.
- Engage key stakeholders to ensure that Reward frameworks are relevant and valued.
- Support the effective communication of all the Reward policies and processes to ensure they are fully understood and appreciated.
- Interpret legislation and tax rules regulating Reward to ensure all policies and processes are implemented in a legally compliant manner.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in managing projects or annual cycles to demanding timescales.
- Experience in job evaluation (ideally Hay or Willis Towers Watson) and salary benchmarking.
- Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel) and attention to detail.
- Strong results and customer orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong networking and collaboration skills.
- Desirable: specific experience of managing reward and benefits cycles; contract management; CIPD qualification or equivalent.
