Ground Control is currently looking for an RPA Developer to join our Data, Strategy and Business Intelligence Team on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week.
As an RPA Developer you will work cross-functionally with operational business units and analysts to create and optimise workflow processes.
This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and managing and fixing business problems through development.

What you’ll achieve
As an RPA Developer, you will be accountable for:
Design and Development:
- Designing, developing, and deploying Blue Prism robots to automate repetitive tasks and business processes. This involves understanding the requirements, process flows, and business rules to create efficient automation solutions.
Process Analysis:
- Analysing existing processes and identifying opportunities for automation. Working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define automation objectives.
Solution Architecture
- Designing the overall architecture of the automation solution, including the structure of Blue Prism processes, integration points with other systems, error handling mechanisms, and security considerations.
Coding and Configuration:
- Writing Blue Prism scripts using the proprietary scripting language or configuring automation processes using the Blue Prism graphical user interface. This includes creating workflows, decision stages, loops, and other control structures.
Testing and Debugging
- Testing the automation solutions to ensure they meet the specified requirements and function correctly. Debugging any issues or errors encountered during testing and resolving them promptly.
Maintenance and Support:
- Providing ongoing support for deployed automation solutions, including monitoring robot performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements or updates as needed.
Documentation:
- Documenting the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions, including process workflows, configuration settings, and troubleshooting guides. This documentation is essential for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Who we’re looking for -
The successful candidate will have:
Blue Prism Certification
Practical experience developing automation solutions using Blue Prism with a proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying Blue Prism robots to automate business processes across various industries.
A strong understanding of business processes, map out process flows, and translate them into effective automation solutions. Experience in process improvement or business analysis is a plus.
Ability to solve complex problems and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
Teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business stakeholders, IT teams, and other developers. Effective communication to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders..
- Experience working with Blue Prism.
- The ability to maintain existing processes and understand points of failure to be able to diagnose and implement steps to resolve.
- Create well documented solutions.
- Experience working as an RPA Developer.
