In this interesting role you will conduct enquiries for the grant, variation and renewal of firearm, shotgun, and explosives certificates, in accordance with legislation. In addition, you will be responsible for the inspection of Registered Firearms Dealers and Shooting Club premises, providing advice or action as necessary.
You will be responsible for completing face to face and telephone interviews and assessing suitability, providing written reports to senior managers. Although this post is based at Force Headquarters the successful post holder will be covering the Macclesfield area. This may be subject to change subject to operational requirements.
