Job Title:Senior Accountant

Location: Stamford

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Overview:

We are delighted to be in partnership with a very well-established and reputable firm of accountants, who are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their offices in Stamford.

They have seen tremendous growth in the past year and which has led to this opening along with an ever growing need to transition a more digital way of working.

Responsibilities:

No two days or projects are the same. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Prepare year-end financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting in their professional development.
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all client engagements.

Experience required:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
