Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Term: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Join a small and friendly Finance Team based in the heart of Leamington Spa. Our client is a reputable company with multiple sites, offering a supportive environment for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Sales ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of sales transactions
• Maintain the Purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements
• Conduct credit control activities, chasing overdue payments and resolving billing queries
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner
• Process payroll efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Participate in audits, providing necessary support and documentation

Requirements:

• Experience in MS Excel is essential
• Experience in Xero or Sage is advantageous
• Proven experience in finance-related roles, demonstrating competence in accounting procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
