Role Location: Shrivenham, Oxfordshire The Centre of Excellence in Energetic Materials (CoEEM) is a UK Government-driven initiative to pull together and champion essential national capability in Energetic Materials which include explosives, propellants, pyrotechnics, and gas generators. CoEEM aims to draw on UK-wide organisations, facilities, and academic centres to provide coordinated research, training, test & evaluation, and knowledge exchange. The Centre will act as a collaboratory to bring together government, industry, and academia to harness and nurture existing and new talent coming into this profession and to promote efficient and effective use of new and existing resources. About the Role This is a pivotal role in supporting the CoEEM team in the execution of its overarching objective which is to bring together and improve collaboration within the energetics community - nationally and internationally. As part of a small team, you will be the central point of contact for CoEEM. Duties will include providing critical administrative and secretariat support to the Programme Director, the CoEEM team and partners, and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis as well as at various meetings, workshops, and other events. These CoEEM partners and external stakeholders hold senior posts within the MOD, industry, and academia and so you will be instrumental in ensuring their experience of CoEEM's services is professional, timely, effective, and consistently of high standard. About You You will be educated to GSCE/A Level standard (including Maths and English) or equivalent experience in administrator roles. You will have demonstrable experience of working effectively with multiple and varied stakeholders - peer groups and demanding colleagues and external stakeholders, including at board and senior executive level. Working under pressure to meet deadlines, while balancing competing priorities and without compromising their attention to detail is essential. Experience within an Higher Education environment or defence sector is desirable.
