Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Job Location: Central England (main service locations are West Midlands, Birmingham, West Mercia, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, North Cambridgeshire and Norfolk)
Salary: £46,236 per annum based on 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent (hybrid working)
Could you as a Senior Business Development Manager, play a key role in significantly expanding the growth of British Red Cross delivered health and social care services? Could you do this both in numbers of people supported and income?
A day in the life of a Senior Business Development Manager will involve:
- Advance on the generation of sales opportunities for the full range of Health services within the Region.
- Create/maintain a comprehensive stakeholder map, identifying key users, decision makers and fundholders across health and social care.
- Lead on the implementation of a comprehensive stakeholder engagement plan, ensuring opportunities are adequately identified and prioritised.
- Initiate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, potential customers, decision makers and influencers within health and social care and partners and potential partners.
- Collaborate with the Director and Commercial Bids Manager to maintain the sales pipeline.
- Be in front and manage opportunities to leverage the BRC brand, building awareness and increasing engagement with customers.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the health and social care landscape. - Obtain and analyse data and combine it with local knowledge to identify places where BRC services are needed and would have most impact.
To be a successful Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll need:
- Organisational skills – planning, managing, and monitoring own and others’ workloads.
- Time management skills – responding to and prioritising a range of competing demands.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, including public speaking and presenting with confidence.
- IT literate. Experience of using Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams as well as using online management systems.
- Financially literate. Ability to understand income and expenditure statements as well as budget forecasting.
- Negotiation skills – can devise and execute win-win scenarios.
- Problem solving skills – understand complex problems and quickly identify solutions.
- Working knowledge of the public procurement rules and process.
- Substantive Business Development experience within the public, private or third sector
- Identifying person-centred solutions to complex problems in a collaborative way.
- Stakeholder management/engagement
- Car owner/driver
