What’s the role?
We’re hiring an additional Senior Business Development Manager to accelerate our customer acquisition. You’ll focus on identifying new markets for Arenko to expand into with our next generation software for the energy transition. You’ll lead on building out our commercial pipeline to develop and close large, complex SaaS deals. We’re commercialising the next generation of software for the energy transition. As energy storage and generation technology becomes more flexible, the industry needs software to match. We’re changing the expensive and inflexible status quo and need your help to educate the energy industry. This is a great opportunity to join the rapidly growing flexibility sector at a leading energy scale-up and to begin or continue a career focused on a carbon free future.
Core responsibilities:
- Developing and executing the commercial strategy to expand market share - in the UK and internationally
- Networking to build strong relationships with clients and partners - comfortable operating at C-level Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, account management and marketing
Who are you?

Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in Business Development for energy products or software solutions, dealing with large and complex multi-million pound deals through to negotiation and close
- Experience selling technology/software across multiple geographies
- Previous experience operating at Senior Business Development level
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to work from our central London office/on-site 3 days per week
