Senior Buyer
Job Description
- Creating and delivering commodity strategies including CAPEX, Packaging, Logistics, and Consumables.
- Directly managing indirect spend in the Midlands & managing a business unit of 1 remote head.
- Commercially managing the supplier base day-to-day, including cost reduction.
- Maximising profitability through idea generation on commercial or process wins.
- Managing supplier delivery issues and negotiating claims.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Strong previous experience in an indirect purchasing role.
- Experience buying services and CAPEX.
- Ability to travel to other sites across the UK – maximum travel requirement of one night away every week.
- While not essential, experience of indirect purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
