A top financial institution in the UK with a global brand is hiring for a Senior Credit Risk Manager for a fully remote role with options to go to office as much as wanted. THE ROLE
The role is a Senior Credit Risk Manager position which will involve working on strategies for new and further lending.
You can expect to be involved in the following day to day:
- Lead, direct, and design credit policy, driving simplification for future readiness and digital ambitions
- Continually assess, simplify, and monitor Credit Policy for alignment with strategic objectives and risk appetite
- Respond to changing regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to Credit Policy
- Manage relationships related to Credit Policy, ensuring compliance and obtaining exemptions when necessary
- Develop and implement Delegated Authority frameworks, monitoring usage, compliance, and controls delegated from Risk
- Conduct at least annual reviews on policy effectiveness, prioritize changes, and develop review schedules based on materiality
- Support the implementation of Credit Risk Governance and Control Frameworks for operational effectiveness
- Review and recommend changes to Risk Appetite, addressing potential conflicts with policy
- Guide key stakeholders in managing or implementing projects to improve lending policy and practice
- Develop effective systems and controls to identify, measure, and control business and regulatory risks for compliant operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in credit policy
- Good tenure in the Credit Risk lending space
- A strong university degree in a numerate discipline
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Up to £93,000 base salary
- 35 days holidays plus bank holidays
