We’re now looking for a Senior Editorial Communications Manager (12 month FTC) to coordinate and draft high quality internal and external communications in collaboration with Senior Editorial staff.
About the Role
- The types of communications and content you’ll be involved in preparing include:
- External communications materials such as speeches and presentations.
- Briefings for media engagements and meetings with external stakeholders.
- Collating the weekly internal editorial roundup email.
- Communications projects such as drafting board papers and creating journalism highlights films.
- Proactively researching, pitching and coordinating media opportunities.
- Coordinating the schedule of internal and external commitments for Senior Editorial colleagues, including international travel, speaking requests and other stakeholder engagements.
About You
- Significant experience in writing and creating a wide variety of high quality communication materials in a news or editorial environment.
- Demonstrable experience in media engagement planning, organising press opportunities and briefing senior leaders.
- Excellent written ability, with the expertise to write across a range of styles and formats including articles, presentations, speeches and research briefings.
- Experience of pitching and handling press enquiries and drafting responses.
- Strong relationship builder with the ability to proactively and collaboratively work with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
