Position Overview:
Joining the International Markets team, the Senior South AsiaMarkets Manager will be instrumental in driving success. The role involves lead generation, stakeholder relationship management, and intermediary engagement across South Asia markets, with a primary focus on India. The candidate will contribute to raising awareness of the Inward Investment proposition, securing advocacy from key partners, and generating a pipeline of qualified investment projects for the region.
Responsibilities:
- Lead international intermediary and stakeholder engagement, fostering relationships with DBT posts, trade and investment agencies, London Embassies, and sector bodies in South Asia.
- Support the development of an International Strategy, identifying market opportunities and key stakeholders to attract inward investment.
- Act as a market expert for India and South Asia, staying informed about economic and policy changes.
- Collaborate with Inward Investment sector leads and events teams to plan and deliver effective activities for the South Asia market.
- Develop a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities from the South Asia geography through direct business development and stakeholder relationships.
- Leverage key partners' international footprint to promote the region's inward investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to align their propositions with South Asian market opportunities.
- Undertake marketing and lead generation activities nationally and internationally.
- Efficiently use CRM systems to monitor and refine business development strategies.

- Must have Business Development experience in both India and UK
Knowledge and Experience:
- Excellent commercial awareness with significant experience dealing with India or Indian companies.
- Understanding of the structure and role of the UK’s Department for Business and Trade.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder environments and executing international business development strategies.
