Position Summary

Samsung’s Smart TV Platform is the leading living room platform for OTT content consumption and distribution. The Business Development Team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating with, and handling content partnerships with leading media & content players on the Samsung Smart TV platform in Europe. We work very closely with our Product and Ads colleagues, and the three teams together comprise ESBO, the European Services Business Office, based in Strand, Central London.
Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Electronics UK is recruiting for a Senior Strategic Partner Manager to join the European Smart TV Business Development Team. The Strategic Partner Manager will be the face of Samsung to some of our most important partners in Europe and participate in shaping the direction of the largest OTT platform in the world. In this position, you will build and handle relationships with Smart TV ecosystem partners, with responsibility for growing Samsung’s content and services business and making sure partners are leveraging Samsung’s full platform capabilities and distribution.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop partnership strategy and partner segmentation with the support of line manager
  • Develop highly effective, deep relationships with key partners. Provide day-to-day management of partner relationships with a focus on growth activities.
  • Support Samsung’s European subsidiaries with local partner management.
  • Drive thought leadership on the evolving OTT space and advocate across the organisation on behalf of partners and opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally across business, product, operations, and other parts of the organisation (including Korea HQ) to develop and implement business strategy
  • Drive thinking on key business metrics for partnerships, taking responsibility for mobilising partners and internal resources to complete to meet objectives
  • Prepare strategy documents, quarterly business reviews, and executive presentations
  • Travel as needed to visit partners and Samsung’s local offices

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in content acquisition, account management, or digital content distribution at a studio, network, or digital platform
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and navigate large, global organisations
  • Passionate about technology and new media trends
  • Self-motivated, assertive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are a must
