Job Description
The Opportunity
The purpose of this role is to support our UK and Ireland People strategy, focusing specifically on providing co-ordination to drive our Talent Attraction and Talent Management. This is an opportunity to leverage skills in cross-functional teamwork. This role will provide co-ordination support for Talent Attraction activities, Talent initiatives and project work to provide the best experience for our candidates, new starters, and delegates for our leadership development programmes. The role will also support the co-ordination of processes for talent reviews, succession planning activities, performance management, and talent attraction activity.
What will my accountabilities be?
Talent Attraction
- Support Talent Attraction Partners with full-cycle recruiting: attraction, creating and maintaining talent pools, screening , keep warm and onboarding.
- Support with curating job descriptions, posting vacancies, interview scheduling, offer generation, and adding new vendors to our system.
- Support the delivery of the Talent Attraction communications plan for stakeholders across corporate, operations, and candidates.
- Create data reports for multiple audiences on behalf of the team on a regular cadence and as required.
- Support Talent Attraction Partners with candidate sourcing.
- Be a point of contact with external agencies for hiring needs when required.
- Deliver a diverse and qualified talent pool that reflects McDonald’s values and brand.
- Provide general administrative support to the Talent Attraction team.
Talent Management
- Organise Talent Review sessions, performance management education sessions, and development courses for the business.
- Curate preparation materials and pre-work for Talent Review sessions, organise content, and share post-session resources with respective populations.
- Organise welcome meetings (to onboard new starters), development programmes, and team meetings, including scheduling, coordination, curating agendas, and minute-taking.
- Maintaining the Training & Development calendar and all materials across all internal resource platforms.
- Constantly look for and implement new ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of talent processes.
Project Co-Ordination
- Complete project work as determined by the business to support strategic plans.
- Facilitate clear planning, understanding, documenting, and monitoring the progress of key projects to ensure the team is on track with delivery.
- Communicate key project information to relevant partners through presentations, briefing documents, and other relevant artefacts, where applicable.
- Take ownership of maintaining the structure of the talent teams’ database of materials.
- Assist in the creative design, production, and distribution of Talent Attraction materials and digital assets.

Who are my customers?
This role will drive an exceptional experience for both our prospective candidates and internal stakeholders. This individual will primarily interface with the corporate talent attraction team, hiring managers, and external candidates across Corporate and Operations. There is opportunity for this role to support other key talent processes that face both our corporate and operations populations.
Qualifications
What background do I need to have?
- Demonstrate a genuine desire to learn.
- Ability to synthesize information quickly.
- Talent Attraction & Co-Ordination background and a working knowledge of sourcing, screening, and onboarding would be an advantage but full training would be provided.
- Demonstrated experience of prioritisation and coordinating projects and multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A good understanding of operational structures, designing and implementing new processes, with an aptitude to work with early concepts, taking them from inception to delivery.
- Ability to build relationships across the organisation across multiple functional areas.
- An understanding of online Talent Attraction systems would be a distinct advantage, but full training will be provided.
- Curious and forward thinking with an appetite to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
