Salary: £ 35,523

Closing date: Thursday, 23 May 2024

Contract type: Permanent

The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and well-being and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won't be solved by science alone.

We are looking for a Talent Coordinator to join our team.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

You will play a crucial role working with the Talent Team within People, reporting to the Associate Director, Talent.

Our team is responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing colleagues with the capabilities (skills, knowledge, and behaviours) that Wellcome needs to deliver our strategy and achieve our mission now and in the future. We play a critical part in delivering on Wellcome's EDI (equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) commitments and shaping a culture that supports our organisational values.

What will I be doing?

You will work towards our Talent agenda by leading the coordination and administration of all Talent programmes, projects, Talent Acquisition and business as usual (BAU) activities that support the wider People framework.

As a Talent Coordinator, you will:

  • Plan, coordinated and manage the Learning & Development programme’s administrative-related tasks and maintain our intranet and SharePoint Talent sites
  • Support the delivery of annual Talent cycles, including performance, talent reviews, and succession planning, and support the development and ongoing administration of Talent dashboards (KPIs, SLAs).
  • Be responsible for administering and coordinating Talent processes and programmes (e.g., coaching engagements, and psychometric administration) and liaising with Talent partners and providers, including managing service delivery, procurement administration, contract renewals, and invoicing.
  • Supporting the Talent Acquisition Team with interview scheduling, ensuring reasonable adjustments requests are in place
  • Monitoring the Jobs inbox through triaging queries and allocating to the relevant Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • Working with other Team Coordinators, including the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Governors' admin, to ensure effective communication of relevant talent acquisition and development activities.
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments.

Is this job for me?

Our team seeks an individual with strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. You’ll be part of a supportive team that enjoys working hard to continuously improve candidates’ and employees’ experiences.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven administration experience in learning and development, performance and/or recruitment
  • Experience with learning, performance and talent platforms and systems (preferably Workday).
  • Working knowledge of learning, performance and talent processes.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage external partnerships and supplier relationships.
  • Experience in managing, tracking and reporting on budgets and IT literate, including MS Office and database skills.

To apply, please upload your current CV and complete our short application.

Interview dates: 6 and 10 of June

Our Hybrid Way of Working

We understand that our colleagues have commitments and personal interests outside of work, and we strive to build a flexible working environment where people can perform at their best. We currently work 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices (as part of our hybrid Ways of Working), with the remaining 3 days working remotely or in the office.

From 1 September 2024, we will work three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and the remaining two days either remotely or in the office.

Diversity and Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do

Diversity and Inclusion are a priority at Wellcome. We are committed to cultivating a fair and inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves and thrive. We are happy to discuss flexible working options for all roles. We ensure that our recruitment processes are as inclusive as possible to everyone.
