Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to join our client as a Senior Production Coordinator/Fabric Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the buying process of raw materials and trims, ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery.
Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in this position, you will also be confident dealing with clients face to face.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of ordering raw materials and trims, from procurement to delivery.
- Maintain comprehensive data records, including pricing and testing information, to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information within the systems.
- Oversee the critical path to ensure timely delivery of fabrics and trims, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate the approval process for color standards and samples, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Regularly evaluate fabric and trim values and stock quantities to inform purchasing decisions.
- Conduct price negotiations with suppliers and establish favorable purchasing terms to enhance cost efficiency.
- Liaise with buying teams to confirm order details and delivery schedules, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Prepare and distribute fabric and bulk orders to relevant team members, facilitating efficient workflow and production processes.
- Proactively resolve issues and anticipate challenges to ensure smooth production schedules and timely deliveries.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding purchase orders, critical path dates, inquiries, and administrative tasks, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Monitor costs throughout the sealing process to uphold agreed-upon margins and cost effective objectives.
- Visit customers to resolve any issues on fabric, trims etc
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Production, supply chain management, account management or a Fabric Buying position
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate challenges.
