Tax Compliance Officer

Tax Compliance Officer - | Up to £360 per day Inside IR35 – 6 Month Duration

Morson is proud to partner with a Global Sustainable Logistics Company seeking a Tax Compliance Officerfor a 6-month period, with potential for a permanent role. Based in Surrey/London, this position offers a flexible hybrid working model.

Reporting to the Tax Compliance Manager, the Tax Compliance Officerwill be responsible for the following key accountabilities:

Taxation

• Collaborating with other Accounting teams and 3rd party providers to prepare CIT returns, WHT returns, and VAT filings for domestic VAT, EC Sales Lists, Intrastats, and any other applicable taxes
• Supporting tax reviews and conducting research on compliance requirements
• Assisting with CIT & VAT audits
• Completing monthly reconciliation of indirect tax accounts
• Supporting Tax Manager (Europe) on ad hoc projects
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are documented and updated
• Developing a Tax Compliance calendar
• Supporting CIT & VAT filing requirements in 20+ European countries

Key skills and qualifications:

• Graduate qualified in finance, business, or economics
• Recognised Tax/accountancy qualification (desirable)
• Solid understanding of European indirect Tax Compliance rules
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate Tax Compliance role, ideally with experience managing internal tax affairs of multiple European jurisdictions
• Strong knowledge and understanding of CIT & VAT processes
• Knowledge of SAP system
• Strong Excel skills

Location: London/Surrey, Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote each week)

Rate of Pay: £300 to £360 per day inside IR35
