SalaryWe currently have an opportunity for an existing or aspiring Teams Manager to provide strong leadership to our Social Work Team in Barrow.
Westmorland and Furness are a newly formed unitary authority and as such the postholder will have the opportunity to develop new ways of working and to forge new relationships with other directorates as well as consolidating existing relationships.
The role will involve managing a Team of Social Worker practitioners whose case load are either Older Adults or Adults over 18 years old with a physical disability. The Team is a supportive team who are keen to develop and your input into this will be key.
The Barrow Team Manager will be supported by other Team managers in the Barrow office and will be well supported by the line management structure which is short and very responsive.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
